Upon arrival, they are assessed by teachers who are trained in special education. Tailored training and care are provided within the school setting, allowing these children to learn and grow with their peers. The goal is to ensure that each child receives full development in physical, cognitive, linguistic, social-emotional, and self-care aspects. Each child identified with special needs is offered various instructions, including individual counseling, small group counseling, and class-based learning. Teachings are performed in adaptation to individual differences and abilities of the children, facilitating their integration into daily life and the learning environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility for the Service<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Children aged 2 to under 6 with special needs and mild disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Children with special needs are referred to our school through the rehabilitation services system of the Social Welfare Department (SWD). Upon arrival, they are assessed by teachers who are trained in special education. Tailored training and care are provided within the school setting, allowing these children to learn and grow with their peers. The goal is to ensure that each child receives full development in physical, cognitive, linguistic, social-emotional, and self-care aspects. Each child identified with special needs is offered various instructions, including individual counseling, small group counseling, and class-based learning. Teachings are performed in adaptation to individual differences and abilities of the children, facilitating their integration into daily life and the learning environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Families in need of IP services can be referred through Maternal and Child Health Centre, Child Assessment Centre, Integrated Family Service Centre, medical social workers, pediatricians or psychologists to SWD\u2019s &#8220;Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services&#8221;, in which they are put on the combined service waiting list. Upon receiving the notification of inclusion from the Social Welfare Department, our school will arrange the admission of the children.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services (OPRS)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the &#8220;On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services&#8221; (OPRS) is to assist children with special needs who attend participating Kindergartens\/Child Care Centres in integrating into school life and enhancing their learning performance.
